Overview:
Detective D. is a mix of FMV game and erotic visual novel.
Its ambition is to go further in the idea of uniting "the book", "the game" and "the movie".

It's got some interesting features, but I didn't find it fun to play at all. Way too dark and there's no context to anything the MC does and no clues as to what's going on or how to solve anything. If the dev focused the game on giving the player interesting choices rather than on just clicking things randomly, it could be good.

Does this use recycled images or it is actually models hired specifically for the game? Cuz this looks like it could be a return to the FMV adventure game era. I know simply opening an OF is straight up more profitable with significantly less effort but I've always felt the FMV style game could benefit from custom built content, just surprised no OF model out of the thousands hasn't thought to do it yet.

I like this type of game, but I don't have a save option.

There aren't many adult FMV games and I can't think of any with as much full frontal nudity as this one besides the (cancelled?) SinsWorld game here which starred real pornstars. Although they're beginning to rise now. Immortality had the most nudity for a major published game in recent memory although isn't not really a "game" in the true sense, but it's still really good.

Only relatively recent one I can remember is Vladimir's Volition which is available online for free, you should get the first google result, but the story isn't for everyone. Eventually, you can unlock extra clips some of which also have nudity.

The most classic adult FMVs were released in 90s, I think the best one is probably Phantasmagoria 2 if you want a decent B movie story with some softcore porn, gameplay hasn't aged well but isn't unplayable. Tender Loving Care is good but personally I find the gameplay extremely boring. "Blue Heat" is a very similar setting to this game with a female detective but it's just a copy and past of a softporn film "Cover Me" and doesn't add anything to the film and the gameplay has aged terribly so it's better to just watch the movie if you can find it.
