I am not stupid enough to make a grinding sandbox and waste my audience's time because I too have played games like THAT and I know the feeling. Hence, NO GRINDING/TIME-WASTING SANDBOX.

This describes my reaction perfectly.

I'd also urge, if it isn't too late, that you use one of these characters as the protagonist and tell the story through their eyes. Sometimes POV stories like you seem to plan here are necessary to tell the tale, but here it just seems like trying to avoid having to figure out how to get the information into the protagonist's hands.

So: faster play + protagonist will enhance the good things you already have going here.

Yeah, the forced delay between pictures and texts is annoying and kills all the fun. Also, the dev should decide if it's "Sofia" or "Sophia".

It is a crime thriller at core with a narrative, each chapter brings out a new part of the story and the mini games are designed in a way that they are not repetitive and may appear only once or twice in the narrative/only when required by the story.
